Textbook and Clothing Return Policies

Return Policies for Course Textbook Purchases and Rentals:

• All returns must have a receipt
  
  
• Unwanted textbooks must be returned to the WITCC Bookstore within ten business (10) days after the beginning of the course for a sixteen (16) week course or five (5) business days for a twelve (12) or eight (8) week course for full refund. Any book purchased after these time limits may not receive full refund. Any book brought back after these refund periods will not be accepted for credit or not given a full refund
  
  
• Textbooks must be received in the same condition as they were given to the student. Books with highlighting or have received damage will not be accepted for a full refund
  
  
• Textbooks purchased in plastic must be returned in plastic within the refund period for a full refund. If plastic is removed, a full return will not be given or book will not be accepted for a refund
  
  
• If payment was initially made on a debit or credit card, the card must be available for the return. This can be brought in with the student during the refund process or given over the phone to the WITCC Bookstore during the refund transaction
  
  
• If textbooks were purchased via our online Bookstore, books must be returned in the same conditions as above to ATTN: Bookstore 4647 Stone Ave. Sioux City, IA 51106 during the return period. A copy of the packing slip with the student's WITCC ID number must be in the return package in order to receive a full refund
  
  
• Any textbook with defects must be notified to the WITCC Bookstore within three (3) business days for a full return. If the textbook purchased with a defect, a note needs to be written on the receipt or on the book by a WITCC employee. If the book is returned with defect that has not been notified on receipt or the book by a WITCC Bookstore employee, the textbook may not be accepted for credit or given a full refund

Return Policies for Clothing:

• Clothing must be returned within one (1) week or five (5) business days of purchase date with receipt for a refund
  
  
• Clothing must have tags, be unwashed, and be unsoiled to be accepted for a full refund
  
  
• If clothing was purchased via our online bookstore, clothing must be returned in the same conditions as above to ATTN: Bookstore 4647 Stone Ave. Sioux City, IA 51106 during the clothing return period
